In 2004, GBP consultancy bv was founded by Ilva van Bommel. At that time she had 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (R&D, production, QA, and general management). Ilva is pharmacist (1985, Utrecht), defended her thesis in 1990 (Universiteit Utrecht) while working at Solvay Duphar (Weesp, the Netherlands). Since 1995, Ilva played a leading role in the construction of OctoPlus Development BV. The activities ranged from starting pharmaceutical laboratories, forming research teams, and shaping the general organization to leading projects for developing forms of drug delivery. The resulting wide range of new products were to be tested clinically by the customers of OctoPlus. In addition, she laid the foundation of the quality system of OctoPlus being on the one hand conform GMP, and on other hand useful in R&D. As Qualified Person, Ilva has ample experience in releasing clinical test material. In this setting, pragmatism is paramount. Ilva is member of the board of the Anselmuscolloquium foundation aiming at post-academic education of pharmacists. |
